Our work mom Perla lost everything in the flood

Hi, my name is Jonathan. I’m an employee at pacific ship in San Diego and monday we were absolutely rocked by the flood. Most of us lost tools or had our cars ravaged by the storm but Perla lost much more. She went home to find her apartment and family in chest high water. Her family also suffered the loss of her mother in law. She had passed away during the storm and was in the home when she got there, an absolutely devastating turn of events for her family. Perla is our work mom, she always looks after all of us, in the summer you can hear her reminding us “mijo, you needa water” or during flu season when she makes us take vitamins. She’s always there for us with a hug or a helping hand and now we need to be there for her. Perla lost all of her clothing, cookware, furniture, electronics, current living space, a family member, everything she owned. She came to work in donated dry clothes today and helped clean the flood damage. She is a hard worker and would never take a handout but I want to show her that we all care. My goal is to raise enough funds for her to clothe herself and her family, maybe find a new apartment or hotel room until she gets back on her feet. Please share or donate if you can.
