Robbie & Claudine Keane - Our Hospital Heroes
Donación protegida
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page supporting this new national appeal supporting 12 of Ireland’s leading hospitals in the fight against Covid-19. Our Hospital Heroes Appeal is being co-ordinated by the Mater Foundation, the official fundraising body of the Mater University Hospital.
This cause is very close to our hearts. A close relative of ours has been fighting Covid-19 for last two weeks. They thankfully come through the worst but without the help of the ICU and HDU teams then the news may have been quite different. We will be forever grateful for the sacrifices all the frontline staff have made in every aspect of fighting this virus.
About Our Hospital Heroes:
We are twelve hospitals in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Cavan who are asking for your help. We need you to donate to ‘Our Hospital Heroes’ so that we can give them what they need to care for Covid-19 patients and care for themselves in the days, weeks and months ahead.
The hospitals benefiting from this appeal are The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, St James's Hospital, Beaumont Hospital, Tallaght Hospital, Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, St Vincent's University Hospital, Mercy University Hospital Cork, Cork University Hospital, Waterford University Hospital, Limerick University Hospital and Cavan General Hospital.
We know from Italy and Spain that many hospital staff will contract Covid-19 so in Ireland we must move now to protect these heroic healthcare workers both physically and emotionally. We must help them. They are our heroes who are currently on the frontline of the Covid-19 battle and never have we needed them more.
Right now, resources are urgently needed to treat large numbers of Covid-19 patients in our hospitals. We must do so without affecting the continuing care for patients with other life-threatening conditions such as cancer and heart disease. Our Government has already committed significant funding, but the fact remains that more will be needed. The severe impact on our courageous teams and on our resources will be felt not just now, but for many years to come.
Thank you so much for your generosity and help in raising these much needed funds to help our frontline heroes now and into the future.
Claudine & Robbie Keane.
All funds raised will be managed through The Mater Foundation (Charity Registration No: CHY9768) , who will assist in distributing the funds appropriately across the 12 hospitals and causes relating to frontline workers.
