Our hearts hurt, as we ask for your help ...

Dear family and friends of Tribez Salons:

It's with great sadness we share a recent tragedy that hit our work family hard. London Jeffrey Thompson, a beloved hairstylist at our Blackhawk Salon, suffered a major stroke, soon after arriving in Thailand over the weekend. He wasn't in Bangkok for more than 24 hours before being rushed to the hospital with symptoms that resembled something very wrong. The symptoms we all fear. Soon after arriving at the hospital, it was confirmed, he had suffered a massive stroke and has a large blood clot in his brain. London is currently in ICU at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. His body is paralyzed on the left side and his speech is severely impaired.

We have managed some direct communication with London through texting, as well as James, another one of our stylists he was traveling with. Without insurance in a foreign country, his medical expenses are growing by the day. As we understand it, we can expect that London will be restricted from travel to return home for 6 to 10 months. It's imperative that he undergo extensive physical rehabilitation in the hopes of recovery, of which we pray will be complete. Miracles do happen!

We share this story with you, as it's a personal one and one close to our hearts. London has served our Danville and Blackhawk community for almost 35 years and I'm sure many of you know him.
