Hi, my name is Robin Deakle. I’m 32 years old, Married for almost 10 years and have never been pregnant. Over the last 9 years I have helped raise my two step children as they were my own. They were 2 and 16 months old when I came into the picture. My husband and I have been going through fertility treatments the last 3 years and in July of 2022, I had to have my tubes taken out. They believe they were closed most of my life. I’ve always suffered from extreme period pains but my OBGYNs always said “everything’s fine, just keep trying” …not the case, unfortunately. See, Last May, when I went in to do an HSG they noticed my tubes were damaged and a few weeks later my tubes became inflamed. We were told one tube could be saved and one would be removed however, when I woke up after surgery they had taken both. Mobile wanted 30k to do the egg transfer and that broke my heart. I’ve never seen that much money and have no way of affording a loan of that size with the economy the way it is right now. Luckily, a friend of mine used CNY Fertility out of Atlanta and they will do it for right at 6 all together. Huge difference. We will have to travel to New York or Colorado to do the transfer so we are asking for funds to help with medical expenses and travel. We are doing everything we can to raise the money. We have 3 storage units full of donated items and will be having a yard sale once a month (Starting Mothers Day weekend) throughout the summer. I know not everyone can make it to those and have been asked to set up this GoFundMe so those who can’t can donate. Even if everyone I know puts in 1$ we will be so much closer to our dream baby than ever before. We are a very spiritual family and know God will bring our sweet little blessing. He has always blessed us so much and I know he is right here with us now. All I’ve ever wanted was to be a mother and I’m blessed to have my step children but they have also grown up with me and want a sibling, a mini-me. My family hasn’t ever had a baby in the family so this is a big deal for our whole entire family. I would do whatever it takes to make sure this child is loved, cared for and provided for. I can’t thank you enough if you choose to donate or come to our yard sale. I hope by next Mothers Day I will be holding my miracle and can look back and thank all of the ones who made it possible.
