Out of the Ashes Season 2

In February 2020 the first case of the coronavirus was documented in the United States, since then it has grown throughout the country. In an attempt to control the spread, Governors across the nation put plans into effect and one of those plans was a shut down of performance venues which included community theaters.
My name is Vince Comegys and as a former small business owner and the son of someone who has died from this virus that has ravaged our world, I know all to well the effects it has had. Less than 3 months ago I had to close the doors of my performance venue because we just couldn't do enough to keep it open. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life. I first got into theater in elementary school during the school play. It's so funny looking back at that event. It was called a musical but as kids we were just up there playing dress up while screaming the lyrics to songs. Lol. While that is how I see it now, I still wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
Fast forward almost 30 years and I have been in more plays and musicals than I can count on both hands and have now ventured into the production side of things. Which is the reason for this GoFundMe. While my venue was forced to shut down we have ventured into the world of fiction podcast/audio dramas. This medium is the resurgence of old time radio and has been recapturing the imaginations of the world. We have just completed our first season of the first audio drama in a long line of audio dramas we plan to produce, but while this is a labor of love it can become expensive and difficult to do on my own. So we are asking for all of your help to get these actors from our community and the world back to work. Help us continue to produce quality work that will provide an outlet for these people who have dedicated their lives to entertaining, and to providing an escape to our lives through our imagination.
So what will these funds be used for:
A very important use of the funds will be to pay actors. Some of these people made a decent living on the stage and are now displaced. So while there is no telling when we will be back to normal, we can provide something for these individuals to continue to hone their craft.
Next will be production. Paying the actors is important but we can't forget about those who were behind the scenes and made it so that all those in the audience could hear the actors or see them. We have sound designers, audio engineers, and conductors to create music. They are important as well and we want to make sure they are taken care of.
I know making our goal would mean the world to all of our actors present and future and to me it would just fill with me with gratitude if you would consider helping us in this endeavor.
