Outdoor Community Gym
Our community grows when we create opportunities for our community to come together on similar interest. We as a community can be part these opportunities with community buy-in.
Health and wellness happens to be one of those common interest. With that Troy Rice Co-owner of Next Level Barber Shop, and Richard Craighead, owner of Inclusive Arts Movement York, want to introduce the creation of a, Outdoor Fitness Gym, to you.
We are looking for the community to fund this amount, while we search for sponsors and grants to cover the remainder.
Located in Historic Penn Park, an area not used, but directly connected to the tennis courts will be home to this Outdoor Gym.
We have created a layout plan that covers half the space, leaving room for additional equipment and space for other possible workouts.
We see this as a place you can work out, while having your kids still there with the playground in a few walking steps from the Outdoor Gym.
The equipment we will be selecting will cross all age brackets and levels of fitness and also be safe to leave outside with no possibility of it being stolen or moved, with no parts being detachable.
Again, we as a community look for ways to come together as a whole. This is a sustainable cause that can only grow from here and further connect out city.
