Out of Poverty Society
2017 is a year for change, and a year for preservation. The Out of Poverty Society of Guelph has been serving the homeless in Guelph, and those living at or below the poverty line since 2014. It was established to take on the responsibility of running the Fresh Start Housing Centre [est. 1995], Baker Street Art Gallery, and the Our Place Supper Club.
There are many people in Guelph who rely on the services provided by the Out of Poverty Society, and without it many would, without a doubt, go hungry on a daily basis.
In 2017, tenants who share the building where the Out of Poverty Society is located will be moving out - leaving a large financial strain on the Out of Poverty Society. For the Society to continue the amazing work it does for our community, we need your help. And we need it now.
We have set a goal of $60,000 CAD. The funds will go to help pay rent, purchase food and continue running the amazing programs for the less fortunate in our community.
Please consider donating today – the services provided can only exist in 2017 with your support. The Out of Poverty Society is 100% donation based, and the survival of these programs and services depend on you, our community friends and neighbors.
The Friends of the Out of Poverty Society,
Heather, Tracy, Sue, Tobi, Margot, Michael, Claudia, Mark, Ryan and Molly.
