This is my best friend Christina, she has quite the story. We've been friends 30 years. She has been through many things no one should ever have to go through, terrible things.
Her & her small little family daily are put to the test, that some of us take for granted.
She lived in Texas, with her husband and children, they both worked as bartenders hoping their tips could make ends meet. They are the people that would give the shirt off their backs to help someone else-even while they struggled.
Then insert this pandemic-the restaurant and bars closed which meant no way to pay the bills.
They moved here to South Carolina with everything they owned in a small tow behind uhaul. They had virtually nothing. Her and her husband and their 2 children, one of which is nonverbal autistic. It was a start at a new life. They have the perfect house, perfect little family and many that care about them.
She has overcome many obstacles personally, she got a fabulous job that has an amazing schedule,so they are finally able to spend more time as a family.
Just as things were starting to look up she was diagnosed with COVID, she overcame, it was extremely difficult on them but she did it, dusted off and got up and back at it.
Everything was going OK until about 3 weeks ago, she started to have significant abdominal pain. We were able to get her to the ER, it was unpleasant news to say the least. It was determined based on blood work and other tests that she has a high probability of cancer. We see a specialist this week for further clarification. If this indeed is her diagnosis she won't be able to work, and will need major surgery.
I am trying to raise money to help them with the basic nessecties such as rent, utilities, and medical bills. Medical bills especially.
Their family has no medical insurance and between the COVID & many ER visits, and now looking at a potential diagnosis of cancer we are trying to help keep their head above water.
Any help you could be would be greatly appreciated.
