Overopinionatedbrits Dad and little brother

As those who follow me on tiktok will know my father passed away suddenly of a brain hemorrhage on New Year’s Day 2023. This tragedy was compounded when later the same day my younger brother suffered a sudden massive cardiac event and also passed away. While my dad was 73 yrs old my younger brother was only 48 with no medical history of cardiac issues. I didn’t even know sudden cardiac arrest was a “thing”. So I am hoping to change that by helping those who raise awareness of this.

More information about Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation: Sudden cardiac arrest is the third leading cause of death in the United States, affecting about 1,000 people each day, including youth. Unfortunately, only about 10 percent of victims survive. However, when victims are treated quickly with CPR and defibrillators by bystanders, survival rates are 40 percent and higher. Our mission is to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and the simple things anyone can do to help save a life.
