Overwhelming medical bills and living expenses

Hi, my name is Teri and I'm fundraising for my cousin's family. Steve Lardas has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Renal Cell Carcinoma. He and his wife, Lea have been struggling to pay bills and provide for their young son, Nicholas. Steve has been unable to work or care for his son since his diagnosis because of the surgery and medications which leave him incapacitated. Lea currently works for the school district and has tried to maintain a positive environment for Nicholas while they adjust to the chaos that their lives have become. In the past, they have enjoyed spending all of their spare time together as a family. They had plans to take Nicholas camping and to Walt Disney World in the near future and then life got in the way. Steve is a tough cookie and with Lea and Nicholas by his side, he is putting up a good fight. Anything that you can spare to help them out will go a long way towards alleviating some of the stress they are feeling with the bills compounding and rent being due. They are struggling to deal with the physical and emotional toll this is having on their lives. I'm hoping to be able to spare them at least some of the financial burden!
