Owen ALL The Way

As Thanksgiving wrapped and other families were preparing for the exciting Christmas season, the Noonan family was hit with devastating and shocking news. After a few days of intermittent ankle pain, four year-old Owen was taken to the ER for a suspected ankle sprain. Instead, Owen was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and immediately admitted to Boston Children’s Hospital for cancer treatment.

Over the next several weeks, Owen will undergo an intensive course of treatment including chemotherapy and other aggressive procedures. Though Owen is expected to return home from inpatient care in January, the journey will be far from over. Owen’s long-term prognosis is positive and his doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital are experts in their field who are very optimistic about their treatment plan. Still, Owen is facing a long road of both inpatient and outpatient treatment spanning the next several years.

Owen has an infectious personality, endless energy, bright smile and is loved beyond measure--especially by his older brother and twin sister. It’s no surprise that Owen has approached this situation with the utmost bravery and strength while continuing to crack jokes along the way. While Owen and his family display incredible spirit and positivity, they need our love and support.
