Owen Benoit and Family

Hi , My name is Courtney and I am starting a fundraiser for Owen and Family. I went to school with Owen from K-12. After hearing about Owen’s new prognosis a bunch of us high school friends wanted to help offset some financial burden for Owen, Dianne, and Hannah during this difficult time. We came up with the idea to fundraise using this gofundme page to help .

As some of you are aware , Owen was diagnosed with glioblastoma grade 4 brain cancer back in June 2023. He underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor with surgery being successful followed by 6 weeks straight of radiation and chemotherapy. Owen received another MRI in February which showed significant tumour progression, surgery was performed to removed this new tumour. Unfortunately, during the surgery Owen suffered an extensive stroke that left him paralyzed on the left side . Owen is currently still in hospital and has been since February 2024. Recently, Owen received a new MRI which revealed new brain tumour growths, unfortunately now surgery is not an option and there are no other treatment options for Owen.
