Owen Cotty Memorial Scholarship Fund

We are establishing a scholarship fund in memory of our dear son Owen Cotty who has left us way too soon. The funds will be used to assist a student or students that are like-minded to Owen in their love for programming and volunteer work as a way to carry on his mission.

Owen was a caring and playful 16-year-old who was quick to make others smile. In addition to entertaining his friends and family, he loved to volunteer to help others through Boy Scouts. He was also an avid programmer, making games and mods for us to use as he was intent on becoming a video game designer. On August 6th, 2022, Owen was playing frisbee with his father and Uncle when he fell to the ground. CPR was administered immediately, and first responders were on the scene rapidly, but despite best efforts, he could not be resuscitated, succumbing to an inherited condition of which we were unaware of at the time. He left behind his parents, Adam and Tamala Cotty and his older Sister Felicity, as well as extended family and friends. His sudden and unexpected passing has left a gigantic hole in our hearts. It is our goal to see his mission of programming and service continue through this scholarship.
