Owen Komen Nelson Eagle Scout Project

Hello, my name is Owen Komen Nelson, a Life Scout in BSA Troop 120, based out of Advent Lutheran Church in Mill Creek, WA.

To earn my Eagle Scout rank, I need to manage a project that benefits my community.

I have decided to do a project at the Lively Environmental Center in Mill Creek, WA, run by the Everett School District. This is a place that I loved going to in elementary school and for walks with my dog. Through the years, the signs marking the trails have lost their shimmer and are starting to become dangerous. I intend to fix that.

The project will involve cleaning and repairing wooden signposts along the trail heads, 15 in total, repainting the lettering, varnishing and rehanging the signs, and replacing five of the posts so they will not fall over.

The total cost of the project is about $450. I am making this fundraiser so I can afford the necessary lumber, tools, paint, varnish, sandpaper, and food and water for my volunteers. Any donation will help! Thank You!!
