Owen Trickett

Early hours of the 6th November Owen Trickett sadly passed away in Leicester Royal Infirmary Hospital. Owen was just 9 days short of his 16th birthday. Owen was in hospital for many months, despite the length of his stay his passing was very sudden and unexpected.

Owen had a rare condition called MECP2. Donna his mum, never left his side and fought for him every step of the way throughout his whole life. Donna had many trials to be listened to from medics and for Owen to get the treatment that he needed, right up to the very end. She always knew what was best for him, what was wrong and will continue to fight for him.

I am trying to raise some funds for Donna, Johnathan and Sophie to enable them to give Owen a funeral he deserves without worrying about finances on top of their grief. All money raised will go towards Owen's funeral.

Anyone who knows Owen or the family know how much they have been through during his short life. Donna has even gone through chemotherapy whilst fighting for Owen in hospital. She never left him. Her strength has been second to none.

When a child sadly dies there are elements to funerals that you don't have to pay for, however the family would love to be able to give Owen the send off that he deserves. The cost of this can be huge so I am setting this up in the hope that some funds can be raised to go towards it.
