Owen’s Odyssey

Friends and Family,

As you may know, our sweet baby Owen was recently diagnosed with MPS Type 1 aka Hurler’s Syndrome. This is a very rare disease that will stunt his physical and mental development and is typically fatal before adulthood. However, Eastmans are stubborn and we know that with treatment little Owen can overcome this disease to lead a happy, full life like any other child. There is a dedicated team at The Children’s Hospital at the University of Minnesota prepared to help and Mom and Dad and big sister Clara as well. To begin with, they will be spending one week in the cities followed soon after by a three month stay as Owen undergoes chemotherapy to prepare his little body for a bone marrow transplant. We ask that you please show your support for Owen and the family that already adores him by donating to help with the multitude of travel and medical expenses ahead of them, as well as the time they will both need to spend away from work over the next several months to be with our little boy.
