Owen and Lee

OWEN STAUFFER  is a 9 year old boy from Ridgway who had a heart and lung transplant on July 8, 2014. Owen was born with Tetrology of Fallot  also known as congenital heart disease.  At 18 months old, Owen developed pulmonary hypertension and was placed on oxygen. He has had over a dozen heart caths and in May 2013, had a melody valve placed in his pulmonary artery to help reduce pressure in his left lung. It failed to do this and on December 26,2013, he was placed on the heart/lung transplant list.  Owen has been in and out of The Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh since his transplant. His most recent stay, he is fighting serious lung infection and lung rejection.  His mom , Lee hasn't been able to work since his transplant last year.
