Last Sunday 15th March my partner and I received a phone call we never wanted to hear. My partners best friend, who was as close to him as a brother had passed away in the early hours. My partner Chris and I decided that we wanted to help not only emotionally but also financially so we took it upon ourselves to start this fund to help Marg and also their 4 beautiful children who are now left without a partner and dad.

This man was not just a partner or a dad he was the fortress of their family and now this fort is falling due to the heartache

Along with the costs of the funeral, rent , schooling and other financial factors we want to try and protect this beautiful family as much as we can to ensure that they do not need to also bear this burden.

The feeling of helplessness is one thing that I have never been able to deal with very well. What words could ever be said to them to offer comfort. Our hearts breaks each day for them as we watch the emotional roller coaster of what has happened to this family.

The details of the incident are still very raw and under the traumatic circumstances and with the wishes of the family the details into the tragedy is something that will not be discussed.
