Help the land of Buddha breathe
The COVID-19 surge in India has reached catastrophic levels, leaving the country’s healthcare system completely overwhelmed. India has been called a “chamber of horrors” because oxygen, medicine, medical guidance, hospital beds, and places to honor the dead are all in extremely short supply. The stories coming through have been personally heart-gut wrenching and surreal for us. We have not known a more painful time in our lifetime: it seems every Indian we know is taking care of the sick and dying. Spiritually, we have to surrender to the reality of death and suffering while energetically trying to reduce suffering — especially for those who are most vulnerable. Let is embody the bewildering paradox of embracing and accepting death and sickness in India while doing our best to reduce sickness and death in India.
This fundraiser is for sending 26 oxygen concentrators to eight different hospitals that provide free services for COVID-19 in the state Karnataka. The hospitals we are supporting are:

Early focus of our work was New Delhi but now the cases are on the rise in South India and Karnataka is a new hot-spot with over 40,000 new Covid cases each day. The hospitals where we have sent the concentrators had asked for oxygen support from 1NGO ( Indian non-profit co-founded by Gururaj Potnis who is alumni of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta). The host of this fundraiser is Kritee Kanko, an alumni of IIT Delhi and a climate scientist and a Zen Buddhist priest based in Boulder (Colorado). Kritee will withdraw funds raised in this campaign and transfer them to India.
There are many fundraisers being organized by sending concentrators to India. We need to do this to cater to a specific geography's need. A small contribution from you will help people breathe and save lives.
