Oyster Adams 8th Grade Trips & Graduation

The 8th grade community at Oyster Adams Bilingual Public School is seeking donations to help send our 8th graders on their final year trips to Costa Rica, Taiwan or New York. The funds also will be used to help with graduation expenses and year-end celebrations.

Our amazing kids have spent 9 years in bilingual education and the Costa Rica trip will allow the kids a chance to use their Spanish skills and immerse themselves in Costa Rican culture. Our Chinese class has the option to go to Taiwan to try out their Chinese and experience Chinese culture. The trips will be an amazing experience for all the kids involved.

We are a DC public middle school with families from a full range of economic backgrounds. The funds for this trip have to be raised by our community. The cost of going on one of these trips is a hefty expense for many of our families. The final year trip is one of the highlights for our kids of their 9 years at Oyster Adams. We want ALL students who have a desire to participate in any of these trips to be able to do so. We want to make sure that no kid is left behind for lack of funds.
