Get Dillon to USASA Nationals

We are so proud and excited that Dillon has just been invited to compete in the USASA Nationals, at Copper Mountain in Colorado, the first week of April. The Half Pipe Snowboarding Competition is just two weeks away. This is Dillon's very first season competing with the Gould Academy Competition Program at Sunday River and he has accomplished so much. Dillon trains hard every weekend, plus 6 full days a week on school vacations. In addition he's at local Shawnee Peak an average of four days a week, after his school day.
He has shown a true passion for the sport, since the first day he started skiing at age 4. Dillon has grown up on the slopes of Shawnee Peak in Bridgton, Maine. He has many great instructors at Shawnee Peak that have generously shared their skills and helped him to become the accomplished rider that he is today. Three years ago he decided to take up snowboarding and has come so far in a very short time. Dillon has enjoyed being a member of the Pleasant Mt. Ski Club since grade 3. The ski club is an amazing and integral vehicle for our local community to teach the skill of skiing and share the love of the mountain with kids like Dillon. He has also joined Shawnee Peak's Riders Club this year, under the guidance of another great coach, Barry Tripp. It has been yet another great opportunity for Dillon to hone his skills. He has worked really hard and the results are showing.
Dillon watches the X-Games over and over. He even goes so far as to DVR them every year! He is also enthralled with the winter olympics and yearns to be like a Shawn White someday. He's constantly scanning the You-Tube snowboarding videos for inspiration. He's dedicated.
This upcoming national competition is a gateway opportunity for him. He will get the chance to compete at the highest level yet, and experience the challenge of riding with more experienced athletes on a national level. We work hard to provide Dillon with the opportunities to develop his skills and follow his passion, but he is just starting out on the this journey. Many of his fellow riders have corporate sponsorship to help support opportunities like this. We appreciate any support that you may be willing to give, to get Dillon to Copper Mountain, Colorado, to the USASA National Championships. Thank you, and Go Dillon!!
