Ozzy's Skate Park 1/2 Pipe Addition

To whom this may concern,
My name is Owen Pflieger, I am a Life Scout in Troop 486 from Richmond Hill, Georgia. For my Eagle Scout project, I have obtained approval to add a new feature to Ozzy's skate park.
The skatepark was built in 2004 in memory of Mark “Ozzy” Wallace, who died on October 31st while trick or treating on his skateboard with friends. The skatepark was built to provide kids with a safe place to skate.
My family moved to Richmond Hill in the spring of 2008, and Ozzy’s has been my home away from home. More and more kids are getting into skateboarding, and Ozzy’s is filled with kids of all ages practicing skate tricks. We’ve all talked about how cool it would be to have a half-pipe, so for my Eagle Scout project, we will be building one this summer!
This new feature is called a half-pipe. It will be a very exciting new addition to the park and will make skating it a more fun and enjoyable experience. The physical dimensions of the half-pipe are 27 feet wide by 24 feet long. I have taken measurements of the existing footprint of the park and of the features that currently exist and have verified that there is adequate room inside the park to fit the half pipe. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for the materials and construction costs.
I intend to raise these funds through this Go Fund Me campaign. I plan to start building the half-pipe in June and complete it in August. I also plan to schedule several building days over the two-month period to complete the project. I have several adult supervisors furnishing all power tools needed for construction. The rest of my workforce will consist of volunteers of which there will be many due to the excitement of a new feature to the park.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely, Owen Pflieger
