As most of you know, Gerson Alvarado was in a work related accident on March 11.2016 in Chilliwack BC.  He is currently in hospital and still in critical condition as he remains unconscious and intubated. He suffered a broken torso, extensive spinal cord damage, lung trauma, broken leg and ankle. He has already had several surgeries, with still many more to come as part of his long road to recovery.  Gerson, known to many simply as ‘G’, is an amazing, caring and loving spouse and best friend to Rosario and a great papa to Rosario's two young  girls.  Rosario is very grateful for Gerson’s life and is looking forward to the day he can come home to his family and friends that miss and love him.

This campaign has been created to help raise money to assist his family during this time of need and uncertainty for the future. His spouse, Rosario, will need to take an indefinite leave of absence from her job to be by Gerson’s side.  She is determined to be there to support him through every step and every challenge that he will certainly face as he recovers.  Just as important she will need to be there for their daughters who are still very young and have been undoubtedly impacted by this accident.  In addition the family will have to move to a new home that will meet his new needs for the future.

This accident has transformed Gerson’s life and his family has suddenly experienced many emotional, physical, spiritual and financial changes.  They must prepare for many more challenges ahead, including moving to a new home that will accommodate Gerson’s new needs.  Additionally, they anticipate they will require specialized equipment to help Gerson recover and adapt.

They do not know what else the future may hold, but they have placed their trust in God to help them get through this. They have let go and let God.  We know that God will take care of this amazing family.  They have already felt God's love through the love and prayers that they have received from family and friends. They feel truly blessed to know they have so many people that love them.

Gerson, Rosario and two children thank you from the bottom of their hearts for your prayers and support.  The love and support from everyone is overwhelming and Rosario can’t wait to tell Gerson how many people love him and have been there for him and his family.
