Save my friend khaled and his family

Khaled and his family have now faced over 200+ days of brutal warfare, famine and loss in the Gaza Strip. Living conditions have become impossible and get worse every day, but you can help change that for one family. Since the IDF launched their ground invasion of Gaza, Khaled and his family have been forced to flee several times, and now live in an overcrowded tent without electricity, water or sanitation. Their house has been destroyed in airstrikes, they’ve lost their entire life savings and have nothing to go back to.
Khaled has been accepted for a master's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Laval and has his study papers in hand from the government of Quebec but the only thing missing is the money to leave Gaza because he and his family have lost everything in the war.
The Egyptian government charges $5000 per adult (and $2500 for each child) to cross the border to safety, making this trip just about impossible for the average Palestinian without outside help. Our first goal is to get Khaled across the border into Egypt so he can first have access to more ressources to help his family, and then make the trip to Canada where he can begin working and earning money to save the rest of his family.
The money raised also helps with day to day expenses, all of which have skyrocketed in price because of the ongoing war. This money will also cover travel expenses for Khaled in his family, as well as the expenses for having to start again from nothing once they leave Gaza. Both of Khaled’s parents and younger siblings depend on him for their daily survival, but right now he depends on us.
Khaled has friends waiting to receive him in Canada and further help him and his family rebuild from the ground up. Khaled also has a lot to contribute to Canadian society because he is multilingual, very intelligent and highly skilled. The current financial situation is the final barrier left for this second chance at life to become a reality after so many months of waiting, worrying, and fighting daily for survival.
Your support is what will make the difference between life and death. Any amount, no matter how small helps, but if you cannot donate, please share this campaign as many lives hang in the balance. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
