The Road to Nursing School!

Hey everyone!

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to consider helping me. You are truly appreciated!

My name is Imani and I am excited to say I got accepted into nursing school at Samuel Merritt University in California! (BSN Ranked #2 in the Nation and #1 in the state in 2021). I start school in May and graduate in April of 2024.

I need your help covering the cost of tuition. I am asking for help with the cost of one semester ($35,000), but would love to raise enough to cover it all ($90,000).

For the past 5-6 years I have been an elementary school teacher working full-time while also taking sciences classes part-time after work. While I LOVE being a teacher, I also love working in healthcare. I have experience as a Doula as well as experience working in registration in the emergency room. Being a teacher is so rewarding in many ways, but it is more draining than rewarding and not financially sustainable as a single woman living in California.

I want to be able to work as a nurse so that I can continue to serve my community and work hands-on with people while getting paid a liveable wage at the same time.
