Cadaver K9 Kai Has Passed Away

Hey everyone, my name is Amy, and I am raising funds to help cover the unexpected medical expenses and the passing of Kai. Let's honor Kai and her remarkable mission of selflessly contributing her skills to numerous cases across the state and beyond.

Meet Kai...

Kai was an 8-year-old Giant Schnauzer trained in Human Remains Detection. For many years, she assisted in various missing persons cases locally in Kentucky as well as in other states. After returning home from her most recent search on the Cumberland River, she fell ill and had been in veterinary care. Sadly, she succumbed to her illness.

Kai's handler, a retired senior on a fixed income, has dedicated thousands of hours and resources to help other families find closure. Let's come together to honor Kai’s work and help cover the veterinary expenses incurred with her care and passing. All funds donated will be used entirely to cover Kai's veterinary bills and specialist expenses.
