Wildfire Relief - Please Help My Mom

This is my mom. She immigrated here and built our entire life in our little home in Altadena. She was out of town when the evacuation began and was un able to save anything before the fire took it all.

She cares so much about helping others she would never ask for it herself. That house was her life. It’s where my brother and I grew up. She loved her trinkets, books, and clothes. It would mean the world to me if I could raise some money for her to be able to buy herself the things that insurance, and other sources of aid, cant fully cover and help her get back on her feet.

I would have never imagined asking for something like this, but I have seen others in our community doing the same, and I don’t think we can do it without your help.

Esta es mi mamá. Emigró a los Estados Unidos y construyó toda nuestra vida y nuestro pequeño hogar en Altadena. Cuando comenzó la evacuación, ella estaba fuera de la ciudad y no pudo salvar nada antes de que el incendio lo destruyera todo.

Ella siempre se preocupó y solidariamente ayudo otras personas. Jamás pediría ayuda para sí misma. La casa que perdió, era su vida y fue donde mi hermano y yo crecimos. Estaba llena de sus recuerdos, y los libros coleccionados a lo largo de su vida.

Significaría mucho para mí poder recaudar algo de dinero para ayudarla a reconstruir y reemplazar las cosas que el seguro no va cubrir por completo, y así ayudarla a salir adelante.

Nunca imaginé tener que pedir algo como esto, pero al ver a otros en nuestra comunidad apoyarse entre sí, me da esperanza para el futuro.
