Brianna’s Endometriosis Surgery
Donation protected
Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue similar to that which lines the uterus is wandering about in one's body, causing adhesions and scar tissue, ovarian cysts, and very painful--often debilitating-- monthly cycles.
I have struggled with this disorder since 2012. I miss at least 1-3 days of work each month and experience other life-impacting symptoms. It’s no fun, to say the least.
On September 9th, I will have my third surgery due to endometriosis. The procedure will attempt to remove scar tissue attached to organs, cysts from each ovary, as well as a painful umbilical growth that causes my belly button to bleed with each menstruation. Hopefully this will resolve, or at least improve, my pains and symptoms.
Unfortunately, my main source of income is not able to provide any paid sick leave, and I have only been able to accrue a few hours of PSL from my second job. Nor do I qualify for anything under programs such as FMLA or ADA. Since I will be out for about two weeks from the procedure, I need help covering lost wages. It isn’t easy to ask this or use this avenue. I know things are very tough for lots of folks and we are all struggling in various ways. So please only donate if you have the means to do so.
Thank you, it means a whole lot to my little heart (and uterus) to have any and all help❤️
