Please help little Charlie

Hi, my name is Pam and I am raising money for my grandson Charlie, who is only 6 months old. His Journey started with what seemed like a cough and congestion. After numerous trips to the pediatrician, who prescribed medication and a breathing treatment, we finally ended up in the ER on Friday, July 7th at 3 am unable to breathe. The Doctors there gave him some medications, tested him for COVID and RSV and said that's all they could do. A second trip to the Doctor again proved fruitless. After calling the Gordon County hospital the next day it was confirmed that he had RSV. The doctors did not really say what to do, so my daughter rushed him down to The Scottish Rites Hospital in Atlanta where he was immediately admitted and put on a breathing tube. He had a really difficult time breathing and each night it was touch and go as they increased his Oxygen percents and flows. He declined over the next 3 days during which time he was moved to the PICU. My daughter's husband Bobby had just started a new job a few weeks earlier and of course does not qualify for health insurance for 6 months. Also, he has had to take unpaid time off work to be with his wife as well as travel home to care for his other 3 daughters (14, 12 and 3) the entire week. It has been a week of tremendous stress over the health of their son, the bills and traveling back and forth, their poor 3 year old daughter is struggling with missing her mom and little brother.

The most recent day has shown improvements with Charlie. His oxygen is decreased a little at a time, but he is still not out of danger and in the PICU until he can breathe better without the high flow of oxygen.

They both need help with Medical bills and care, travel for Bobby to and from Calhoun to Atlanta and care of their other children since there are no wages coming in during this time as well as covering the normal household bills. They just replaced their HVAC last month and their roof has a leak, so bills are mounting and the weight of this emergency has laid a great burden on my heart. I have helped them as much as I can, with child care and errand running, but I cannot afford to help out financially.
