Trying to find a kidney donor! Please support

My name is Jean Phelps and I own a small florist in Martinez GA. (the Bloom Closet) I have diabetes that has caused vision issues and kidney failure. I have gone thru numerous tests and have been approved for the transplant list in Atlanta and Charleston. My medical bills are getting out of control even with good insurance and continue to grow daily. even when I was turned down for a transplant at local hospital I have to pay for testing which with insurance is $1500. I have been like everyone else that's sick, just keep working and hoping things will work out. I'm not physically able to do weddings anymore. My husband Chris is working 2 jobs to help pay bills, but If you could help a little bit, I'm in your debt. I'm doing everythjng I can, diet and medicine wise to keep my GFR as high as possible but i am nowvon dialysis and if I do get a transplant the after care and medicine is crazy expensive. I have to go to Atlanta for 2 appts each week for a month after transplant then every week for a few more months. so I will have to essentially move to Atlanta or Charleston since Augusta is 3 hrs away and I'll have to have a cargiver to drive and stay with me. It's just a lot and I'm so thankful for family and friends. I'm just at a loss on how things will get paid and I'm finally just going to ask for help. take care of yourself, you can lose everything you've worked for quickly.

**Update 10/5/24

well we survived Helene with a giant tree laying on the house but it didnt come thru (thankfully) and my final 2 tests I need got postponed due to weather. Very thankful we got power back and for all the people out there helping each other. it was scary not having diaylsis for a few days, but they are back and I've been able to go twice this week. I had been watching fluids and thankfully was still at my target weight.

**Update 8/23/24 was told a heart test came back questionable so I have to have a heart cath on the 16th to get cleared for transplant and fistula surgery so I can get this chest cath removed. it's tough showering and just having something hanging out of your chest. but I'm alive so I'll shut up now. Dialysis really helps me feel better, a little drained the next day but better. eye surgery are starting again this week. I feel like a car you know your gonna have to replace soon.

**Update 7/18/2024

well the fistula can't be fixed. so on the 30th I go back and get the options on what to do to get this tube out of my chest.

**Update 7/17/24

well they couldnt hear my fistula in my arm at diaysis and i went to see vascular doctor yesterday and the ultrasound showed its not working. so thursday i have surgery to see whats going on. it could be clogged, so ill find out tomorrow. Hopefully we can figure it out so I can have this tube removed out my chest.

**update 7/7/24

It's nice to be home in my own bed 40 lbs lighter able to breathe. Lots of change though. 30 Oz water a day 3 Oz protein a meal and 6 to 8 servings of bread (a serving is a piece of bread) and 4 fruits per day. And no wheat back to white bread and no spinach driedfruit nuts cantelope watermelon strawberries all the stuff that for years I've been eating. Oh well, just have to shut up and get over it. A whole new way of living. I can have pasta on kidney diet but it still drives my diabetes crazy so it's trying to balance the two. I don't care for math and figuring it out but I have a husband that loves to figure things out, Thankfully. And this port in my neck is so sore I can barely move my shoulder.. I'm still feeling 100 times better and thankful for dialysis.

now onto finding a kidney.
