Imagine you worked hard all your life to pay off your mortgage. So in retirement you could relax and reap the rewards of your hard work. Or you scrimp and save to get together a deposit to buy your home for a secure future for yourself and your family.

Now imagine you wake up tomorrow morning to discover the value of your home has been nearly halved, due to a structural fault that the local authority were well aware of when they sold your property.

Then to top if off the local authority decide the whole estate has to be demolished. Why you ask?

They are all linked and they have failed to monitor and maintain the 500 homes in Balnagask Torry that have RAAC resulting in them rehoming the tenants, whilst offering unsuspecting homeowners a fraction of the value of their homes. Removing the homeowners rights to repair their homes. Homeowners who got all the necessary surveys/home reports done.

We stand for the rights of every homeowner not just in Aberdeen but across Scotland, who have found themselves in this impossible situation through no fault of their own.

We need to fight to get what is fair.
