Pancreatic Cancer UK

I am not a runner, never have been and the idea of running a marathon had never appealed to me…….
UNTIL, a few weeks back I saw an inspiring post about the Flawed Hero Marathon.
It spoke to me louder than my own self-doubt and I knew immediately I ‘was in’.

My Martial Arts friends will know the saying “Nana korobi ya oki” (fall down 7 times, get up 8), after my accident a decade ago where I broke my back & neck to the more recent long covid diagnosis, I consider this my 8th.

So here I am, have borrowed a treadmill, joined Parkrun and looking at getting a decent pair of trainers amongst a new training regime & diet.

At midnight on 26th April 2025, I will be joining other inspired men & women outside The Broadway Cinema in Letchworth to begin the 26.2 miles to personal victory, hopefully finishing before The London Marathon kicks off the following morning.
The bonus of supporting the official charity of the London Marathon (Pancreatic Cancer UK) on my journey is where you come in.

Whether you believe in me, are as surprised as me, or simply need a reason to donate to a worthy cause, then please do so below.
Please share this amongst your friends, family & colleagues, every donation counts.

Thank You,

Mark
