Jake's medical bills

Hi, my name is Emily and I am raising funds for Jake's medical bills. Jake was a classmate of mine from PT school who is also a close friend. Jake was voted class president while simultaneously being the class clown. He is the kind of person who would give the clothes off his back to someone who needed it. On Saturday night he was caught in crossfire and was shot once in his right thigh which fractured his femur.

 

Here is the story from his fiancé,

 

"We were at home on Saturday night around 10pm, where there was a huge party being thrown at our apartment complex's pool. This party was quickly getting out of control and Jake decided to go take a look to see what was going on. There had to be 50-100 people. Unfortunately, the moment he stepped outside, a shoot out between two young men broke out and resulted in Jake getting caught in the crossfire. I heard the shots from inside our apartment and immediately ran outside to see him on the ground, wounded. With the help of a stranger, I was able to get him to a safe space until the cops and ambulances showed up. Thankfully Jake made it but he has such a long road of recovery ahead of him."
