Help Support my Para-Standing Tennis Journey!

Hello everyone,
My name is Ross Cudmore, and I’m reaching out to share my journey and ask for your support as I continue to pursue my passion for tennis. I was born with a Brachial Plexus Injury (BPI), also known as Erb's Palsy, which has left me with very limited movement in my left arm. Despite this challenge, I’ve been playing tennis for 18 years and coaching full-time for the last 8 years. For most of those 18 years, I competed exclusively in able-bodied tournaments, never encountering another player with a physical disability. It wasn’t something I thought much about until recently.
In November 2023, my tennis journey took an incredible turn. I attended the first-ever Para Standing Tennis Festival organised by the LTA, after stumbling across it online. I thought I should give it a go, and that decision changed everything. The event introduced me to a whole new community of incredible players facing similar challenges. I even had the opportunity to meet comedian Adam Hills, who invited me onto his show The Last Leg to showcase my serve.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to achieve some remarkable milestones. In May, I won the first-ever para standing tennis event in the UK, and later, I became the 2024 European & World Doubles Champion alongside my partner Matt Grover. One of the highlights of my career was playing an exhibition match at Wimbledon, an unforgettable experience and a dream come true for any tennis player.
Now, I’m preparing to participate in the US Open Invitational in September, and I couldn’t be more excited. However, as you can imagine, the costs associated with competing at this level - travel, training, equipment, and accommodation are substantial. Para Standing Tennis is such a new sport that funding can be hard to find, which is why I’m turning to you for support.
The funds raised through this campaign will help cover these expenses and allow me to continue competing at the highest level while hopefully inspiring others with disabilities to chase their dreams. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to achieving my goals. If you’re unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your network would also mean the world to me.
Thank you for considering supporting my journey!
