Pablo the Dog lost his beloved Person...

One month ago we lost our dear friend and family member Miguel Heberle. He died suddenly, without warning, leaving behind his dog Pablo, and a 13 year old son.

After Miguel died, Pablo went to a foster-to-adopt with a lovely family in NJ, but his son Oliver insisted his dad would want Pablo here in Brooklyn, with his best dog friend Anabelle and her human mom. While in NJ, Pablo got sick, and his foster family rushed to an emergency vet because they were concerned. They lost their dog a few months ago so they did not want to take any chances!

Pablo is doing ok, after many tests and treatments, but the vet bills at the ER clinic totaled about 4,000 dollars, and we feel it is important to reimburse the family that took him in temporarily at a heartbreaking and stressful time.

Miguel adored his dog, they went everywhere together, and everyone in the neighborhood knew who they were! Pablo had been abandoned in an apartment by his previous owner, and at first Miguel was going to look for an adoptive home for him, but after some months he realized he could not let him go.

Unfortunately, Miguel had no savings, no funds set aside for an emergency, and no pet insurance. He cooked food for Pablo in an effort to save money...

Please help us raise enough money to pay the veterinary bills, with a little extra so that Pablo can get pet insurance, heartworm medications, and whatever veterinary care he might need in this next year in his new home with his new family.
