THE CHALLENGE.
Rowing 45 days non-stop in the eEnergy boat, from California to Hawaii.
We start from the historic harbour of Monterey in California, following
the path of many adventurers and explorers of yesteryear, and row 2,800
miles to the finish line in Nawiliwili Bay on the stunning island of Kauai. A
hard-to-beat backdrop for what will be the most incredible, once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Once we launch, we will row non-stop and unassisted for around 45 days:
4 hours on the oars and 2 hours off. We will sleep in cramped quarters,
cross two time zones, consume 850,000 calories, and experience all the
weather and waves the Pacific throws at us. We will also see 45 sunrises
and countless sea birds and spend a magical time with sea turtles,
dolphins, whales and sharks!

OUR CHARITY - The Ocean Cleanup
A global challenge and a global charity, tackling a global issue: Ocean
pollution.
As our challenge is global, we wanted to partner with a worldwide
charity with the same vision: to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. This
is a mission that everyone should be contributing toward; however,
we are aware that there are specific efficient methods of achieving
this. We believe The Ocean Cleanup is the most advanced
organisation in tackling this environmental challenge, and therefore,
the most impactful way for us to contribute to the mission is by
enhancing The Ocean Cleanup’s resources

ABOUT OUR LEAD SPONSOR.
eEnergy is on a mission to eliminate energy waste and make Net
Zero possible and profitable for all organisations.
With such a great mission, partnering with eEnergy was a great
match for us, and they continue to provide fantastic support by helping us with our branding and spreading the word through their
public relations team.
eEnergy’s clients achieve Net Zero with no upfront cost. Yes, really.
They are helping everyone from the NHS to local schools and shops
in the high street reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
Last year eEnergy’s activities saved one hundred and twenty-eight thousand tonnes of carbon, the equivalent of six million trees!

OUR OBJECTIVES
If rowing 2,800 miles across the Pacific Ocean wasn’t enough
we’ve set ourselves 4 key objectives that everyone can be involved
with.
1) Raise the bar
We aim to beat the current world record, setting a new time,
inspiring others to challenge.
2) Raise awareness
We want people to join us as we row through the garbage patch, as
we will document the challenge with live updates on Instagram, and
Facebook for everyone to see.
3) Raise understanding
We are offering our vessel to collect valuable data to aid the Ocean
Cleanup. Taking water samples and recording sightings of ocean
plastic and its location.
4) Raise money
By doing all of this we want to raise money for The Ocean Cleanup.
With over 5 trillion pieces of plastic in our oceans, it's the largest
clean up in history!
