In June 2023, Team Row Aurora is supporting breast cancer charity Big Purple Pants!

Five years ago, Dawn's friend Sara received confirmation that her breast cancer had returned. In the terror of those hours she searched for a support group, but a Google search concluded that there was nothing in the four south eastern counties of the UK. In this scary time, when Sara wanted emotional support, she felt isolated.

But Sara refused to allow this to knock her down. She contacted her friends Claire and Carole, and they set up their own support group - Big Purple Pants was born.

Now an established group, Big Purple Pants have become a beacon of hope, a crucial support service, and a helping hand in the landscape of a secondary breast cancer diagnosis.
