Pacifica HS NJROTC Orienteering Nationals

Pacifica High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) strives in teaching our teenage youth the importance of discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, citizenship, and leadership to excel in life. We are a military-based program that also focuses on military structure and discipline. We do not recruit into the military, but we assist the student in the event that they want to join.
The Pacifica HS NJROTC Orienteering team recently qualified for the Navy JROTC High School Orienteering National Championship hosted by Hillgrove HS in Powder Springs, Georgia.
What is NJROTC orienteering you may ask? Well, Orienteering is a competitive recreational endurance activity in which our cadets use a map and compass to navigate between checkpoints over unfamiliar rigorous terrain in a specific allotted time. They are competing over this course for the fastest individual time for an overall team score. This is a mix between cross-country and land navigation.
As quite a few of our cadets don't have the means to pay for travel, we are asking for your kind donation to help offset the cost of some of their travel expenses. Thank you for considering donating to our program.
