Pacifica NJROTC Navy Nationals
Donation protected
Pacifica High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) strives in teaching our teenage youth the importance of discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, citizenship, and leadership to excel in life. We are a military-based program that also focuses on military structure and discipline. We do not recruit into the military, but we assist the student in the event that they want to join.
The Pacifica HS NJROTC Academic, Athletic and Drill team recently qualified for the Navy Athletic, Academic and Drill National Championship held aboard Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida.
What is NJROTC Athletic, Academic and Drill competition you may ask? Well, there are 40 cadets on a team, and they compete in a uniform inspection, take an academic test, compete in five different drill(marching) events, as well as compete at push-ups, sit-ups, and a 100-yard relay. All these events culminate into one total team score to decide who the national champions will be. It is held over a two-day period, and they compete against the top 24 NJROTC programs in the nation.
As quite a few of our cadets don't have the means to pay for travel, we are asking for your kind donation to help offset the cost of some of their travel expenses. Thank you for considering donating to our program.
