P.A.D.F: Sierra Leone Crisis Fund

The Pan African Disaster Fund is created to respond  to disasters and crisis affecting Africans at home and in the diaspora. Our first campaign is the flood crisis in Sierra Leone. Our mission in Freetown, SL is to assist folks that survived the floods but are left displaced and destitute.  Approximately, over 700 people have lost their lives and thousands have lost their homes and livelyhood. Sierra Leone is a small resilient West African Nation that has been plagued in the recent past by a lengthy and vicious civil war,  and then by  Ebola and now by deadly floods. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and will be directed towards local  Grassroot NGO's like AC-Global which has its people on the ground providing food, hygienic and medical supplies to the survivors of the flood and The Mama Pikin Foundation  was founded 10 yrs ago by 2 Sierra leonean born Doctors and they have been providing services to help improve the health of women, children and families. In response to the Flood crisis they they have assisted with providing  food, water, hygienic supplies and relocation expenses to over 100 families. My name is Haja Dumbuya, I am was born in Sierra Leone and live in Oakland, California. I started the PADF to support communities that have been impacted by disasters and crisis  and also to support local  Grass root organizations  that are on the ground during these crisis. 9/13/17: I will be withdrawing the donations that we've  raised so far and directing them to the MamaPikin Foundation. they have been and are still on the front line assisting folks with food, shelter and relocation stipends. we are greatful for their big hearts and hard work and we are honored to send them the $570 that all you good folks have donated. if you want to know more about their work and campaigns their website is www.mamapikinfoundation.org. We will continue to raise funds for the Mudslide/flood Survivors until we meet our goal and any additional donations will be directed to subsequent organitions that are on the ground.
