Pure Addiction Diesel - Legal Battle
Donation protected
This is the official and only GoFundMe campaign to assist with legal fees for Pure Addiction Diesel. All donations will go to mounting lawyer bills, not to pay a fine. This isn’t just a fight for a diesel shop, this is fighting for a small business owner, this is a battle against big government and the unequal treatment of certain shop owners who have been charged with criminal misconduct, while other - far more egregious - violators are hit with a monetary penalty and allowed to stay in business with no criminal prosecution.
Every single dollar helps and we are thankful for any and every donation no matter the size.
We are grateful for our customers continued business and support. We are humbly asking you to help in this battle, because so many have asked. Whether via a donation or the opportunity to service your vehicle. The isn’t over for us, and certainly not the industry. We believe we have the right team in place to make this wrong - right.

Unfortunately, unlike other shops in the state and country, this case was made a spectacle and escalated to an absolute unnecessary level. While other small, local shops quietly settled civil cases without negative publicity, shop owner Travis Turner was threatened with felony convictions and a substantial monetary penalty.
After over two years of legal limbo, emotional, and financial torture navigating a very confusing and intimidating legal system, a plea was presented as Mr. Turner’s only option. Unfortunately, trial is an enormous expense from a monetary and potential outcome standpoint, and we need your help if it comes to that.
Unlike other diesel shops throughout the country, PADP voluntarily discontinued certain performance upgrades in advance of the government’s determination to pursue criminal charges. This was industry standard at the time, and PADP was ahead of the curve on discontinuing these services. Despite PADP’s attempts at full cooperation and transparency, the EPA and Department of Justice inequitably pursued criminal charges anyway. PADP is not a distributor or manufacturer of performance parts; yet, prosecutors focused their efforts, agents, and court system on a small business owner who attempted full cooperation, yet was unjustly targeted anyway.
