Pahar trust

On the 26th April I will be taking on a challenge of hiking to Everest base camp (EBC) to raise funds for Pahar trust. EBC sits at an altitude of 5,200 and will take 14 days to complete the hike. 

 Pahar trust is a charity based in Nepal dedicated to enhancing education, health and sanitation in Nepals most isolated mountain communities. They construct earthquake resilient schools, health centres and have completed 260 projects to date. 

 For the past 2 weeks i have had the opportunity to volunteer in some of these local health posts. The staff are incredibly dedicated and hard working, but the facilities and resources available are limited. This means it’s difficult for the staff to provide the level of care these communities deserve. Take a look at the photos uploaded of the labour room and surgical equipment to observe the lower standards than what we are used to. 

All the money raised through this campaign will go directly to supporting Pahar trust healthcare projects. I know the journey to EBC will be hard but will be made easier with all your support and generosity to fuel each step i take.
