Paige Nunn & family (baby Ollie)

Baby Ollie was found to have Hirschsprung's Disease just a few days after he was born. He had spent most of his first few weeks of life in the NICU at UK.

Initially the pediatric team was hopeful that there was just a small amount of his bowel that was diseased however this was not the case. Little Ollie was home for just a day when he had to return to UK where he underwent an 8 hour surgery yesterday which resulted in a ileostomy and removal of a large portion of his bowel and a long road ahead.

The disease will mean that Ollie will have a difficult process for eating and nutrition will be very difficult for him.

At this time little Ollie will be in the NICU for a minimum of 3 months and may possibly be a lifetime hurdle for him.

Obviously this news has been devastating for his parents and family.

I am hoping that we can get as many donations as possible to take some of the financial burden off the parents since leaving his side is not an option at this time.
