Paige's MA in Holocaust Studies

Dear all, I am raising funds for my upcoming master’s program and I would be grateful for your help.
I’ve been accepted to the M.A. in Holocaust Studies at the University of Haifa, Israel. I have always felt the Holocaust is a significant subject that is part of our shared history—and a subject that sadly continues to be relevant as genocide continues to occur. In addition to my interdisciplinary classes in history, law, and social sciences, I will have an internship and I will volunteer in the Holocaust survivor community through AMCHA, an organization that provides support to survivors and their families.
Haifa awarded me a generous scholarship for tuition and board, but I need your help to cover airfare, books, and my first month of living expenses. Any contribution no matter the size will help.
Some but not all of you may know that I’ve put myself through college with scholarships, work, and loans. I was a first generation student and I accomplished this without family support as my grandmother, who raised me, passed away from cancer my senior year of high school.
Since graduating with a B.A. in Philosophy from Pepperdine University, I’ve interned at Yad Vashem World Holocaust Center in Jerusalem and I’ve spent the past year working at the Museum of Tolerance in LA. After completing this M.A., I will pursue a Ph.D. in philosophy back in the U.S. Looking ahead, I hope to become a professor of philosophy and a humanitarian.
I would appreciate your help in realizing these goals.
In addition to financial contributions, I am also creating a queue to send me an email or letter during my program. As the Holocaust is an emotionally difficult subject to engage and as I will be in a foreign country, I think this will be a great way to keep up my spirits and keep me connected to all of you. So, if you’re interested in sending me a note or receiving a thank-you postcard, let me know and I will give you the details.
All the very best,
Paige
