Paige’s fight against stage 4 cancer

Paige is a strong, proud, and positive person that wouldn’t ask for help from anyone, but God knows she needs our help with the expenses she has faced due to her cancer treatment.

on May 12th 2020 Paige went to the Dr. because she had felt a lump on the right side of her chest. After many tests and biopsies she was given life changing news on June 12th 2020 that she had cancer.

She was first diagnosed with stage 2, but after test results came back that was quickly changed to stage 4. Paige faced an upward battle and the fight for her life.

She started her treatment shortly after which included 4 rounds of chemotherapy, every 3 weeks. After the chemotherapy treatment she had a double mastectomy on October 9th 2020 and then started daily radiation on November 2020 until January 2021. In March 2021 they did another Pet scan which showed no active cancer cells. Finally Paige could start a journey of healing with the cancer in remission, but this would be short lived.

June 2021 after a persistent cough Paige went back into see her Dr. Another pet scan and lab test was done that would be, once again, life changing for Paige. This time the cancer has metastasized to her Lung. She has started daily cancer medication along with monthly chemotherapy injections which haven’t been easy for Paige to tolerate.

With over a year of battling cancer Paige had to use her sick leave and vacation leave to cover her absences to fight the cancer battle and with this new treatment it’s really effected her as she adjusts to the treatment. But who ever gets use to chemotherapy and fighting cancer during a pandemic. She has been forced to work, due to financial obligations, when she should be at home resting and healing. No doubt Paige is a fighter!

In all of Paige’s journey she has never stopped smiling and always has a positive outlook. If she could sell her bright smile and positivity she would be a billionaire. She is symbol of courage, strength, hope!

Paige once said, “ it’s not going to be a sprint, but a marathon!” She has yet another marathon to finish so please help her get to the finish line so she can enjoy her life cancer free!
