Paislee’s fight against brain cancer

Donation protected
Paislee Gi’Andra is a sweet , smart, outgoing 8 year old little girl with an old soul to be honest . We are from a small island called Saipan. Our home didn’t have the surgeons , the machines , the medicine to helping my little girl so our only option was to leave the only place we called home and fly on a 20 hour flight to San diego. Luckily insurance covers some expenses being a mother and the provider for my two beautiful girls things are rough but we're making it work. So this is we’re Paislee journey to finding out her diagnosis happens . Paislee complained of a stiff neck beginning of April and not knowing the stiff neck she had would go away but one week became two , became three . Two months of ER visits only to say she only had a flu , and that stiff neck she had will go away. My baby was throwing up constantly , no appetite, weak , very fatigue , not herself. I knew something was wrong with my baby girl . It's not till May 2nd when she was at school paislee fell and hit her head , they brought her home but it didn't stop there. Paislee complained she couldn't breath. She was having a hard time. So we called 911. They came over gave her oxygen and brought her to our local ER. And in saipan there is only 1 hospital there. They brought her there she was confused , didn't know where she was at , didn't remember her sister , was even walking like a inebriated person. Her definition of walking straight was walking to the right and not straight at all. They then said they'll run test because it's odd for a little girl to go through something like this. So we waited. The best the doctor could say is she probably has an infection in her brain and I honestly prayed it was something we could easily fix with antibiotics or something. They took her up to CT and that's when they saw a golf size tumor on her brain and my heart dropped, my whole world shattered as my 8 yr old was about to go through something she didn't even sign up for . The childhood life she has is gone as hospitals will be her home , constants clinic visits and everything that comes with cancer. May 3rd we flew to guam to do a external ventricular drainage on her head to drain the fluid build up, we moved so fast because what she had was serious , their was to much fluid and pressure in her brain .Then on May 4th a couple hours after surgery we then endured our 20 hours flight with the EVD sticking out her head the whole flight to San Diego . We got to Radys Children’s Hospital and that's when the plan to kick cancers butt and beat all of this begins ..May 7th they did her brain surgery to remove the tumor. Successfully they removed it all and she came out stronger than ever . We then found out the type of cancer Paislee has , Medulloblastoma . Paislee is currently going through chemotherapy in the AM and radiation at Noon . She will be on break for 3 weeks then endure 6 months of chemo . My baby has lost weight and her beautiful hair. But my paislee fights with her head up and a smile and i admire her will and soul. So proud of my girl.
