Pakistan Flood August 22

Hello, my name is Ali Lodhi. I am raising funds to aid the people displaced and devastated by the floods in Pakistan. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan and most of my family still resides in Pakistan. I currently live in Houston, TX and am putting together this gofundme to raise money for survival necessities for those displaced by the floods in Pakistan.

Over 1/3 of Pakistan is underwater, 35 million people are displaced, and the death toll is around 1700 and climbing.

We are working directly with a local Pakistani business (Dagha) actively volunteering to bridge the necessities for survival for those affected by the floods. With your donations, we can provide these necessities to people in Pakistan who are in most need at this time.

The funds we raise will be used to purchase food items, mosquito nets, hygiene products, and milk powders in Karachi, Pakistan by my cousin Syed Ebad. The items will then be distributed amongst those in need in the flooded areas. Syed is in Karachi, actively volunteering with Dagha to distribute these items to the affected families. We have video documentation of the warehouse (dagha) in Pakistan where the items are sorted for distribution and the volunteers are working actively to distribute items. Syed, along with our family members in Karachi, is working hard to volunteer their time to help those in need. We, in Texas, feel helpless and the least we can do is raise funds to send to Karachi so that our family can purchase the survival necessities outlined above and they will distribute them amongst families and children in need. The funds raised here will be withdrawn by me Ali, into my bank account. I will then send the entirety of the funds via Western Union to Syed Ebad in Karachi where he will purchase all the necessary items that are to be distributed to those in need.
