Pakistani Believers in Arifwala
Donation protected
Dear Friend,
I trust this message finds you well, enjoying the comforts of life—nourishment, clothing, and shelter. Today, I reach out with a humble request, hoping you might channel your abundance towards a community in dire need of our collective support—the Christians in Pakistan.
In the Godly spirit of love and compassion that Jesus taught us, we can tangibly impact the lives of our brothers and sisters facing difficult circumstances. As we come together to extend a helping hand, let us reflect on the words of Jesus: "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)
The Christian community in Pakistan grapples with discrimination, economic hardships, and even persecution. Your generosity can instill hope and provide support needed to overcome these challenges.
How Your Donation Can Make a Difference:
Basic Necessities: Your contribution will provide essential resources such as food, clothing, and housing. In the winter cold in Pakistan, many children lack warm clothing, and some are ill.
Medical Bills: Past injuries and ongoing health conditions have brought forth burdensome debt. Important treatments and medications are financially out of reach; doctor's visits and prescriptions are ill-afforded luxuries.
Church Services: From a sound system to carpets and tent structures, your contributions have helped immensely. The essentials are in place to have regular services at home without additional financial draw.
Charity: Your donation directly aids the most vulnerable attendees of the church services—often workers or families from brick factories, akin to modern-day slave systems. Providing a meal at services is a great help for their daily bread and is drawing more to attend and learn about the Gospel. Your support has also been used to assist the persecuted Christians of Jaranwala, who have to rebuild lives shattered by burnt homes, looted possessions, and constant threats.
In all the financial matters, the believers in Arifwala have thus conducted themselves in a trustworthy manner, and have been in contact for a period of nearly two years, with regular services nearing a year. I wish to provide this assurance that donations are not wasted, and an account of the money is maintained.
Join Us in Spreading Love and Hope:
Your donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact. Let us come together to follow the teachings of Jesus and show our support for those in need. As Jesus said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34)
Please consider contributing to this cause, and let your love and compassion shine through your support. Together, we can make a positive change in the lives of our Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
David Skoog
Further information:
The Ameen family has been the primary point of contact.
Brother Ahtisham and sister Jessica handle the logistics and purchasing of services and gifts; their family hosts orphans, anywhere from 7 who live with them permanently to 25 at a time who come and go.
They have a father who was injured in a workplace accident, and mother who suffers from hepatitis and diabetes, along with a younger brother.
Through them, they have arranged for food to be provided to church attendees, helped with medical concerns for families in the area, and used money to ensure that those in their care are able to be fed, clothed, and have housing.
