# Help Me Paddle for a Cause: Isle of Wight Round the Island Kayak Challenge!

Dear friends, family, and generous supporters,

I'm thrilled to announce my upcoming adventure: a daring kayak paddle around the Isle of Wight! This isn't just any journey; it's a mission to raise vital funds for the Freshwater Independent Lifeboat and a group of palliative care nurses who looked after my dad during his battle with cancer. All money raised will be split equally between the two causes. As I prefer to be at sea rather than on dry land, I’ve come up with this crazy but fun idea. 

 While I don’t know too much about Dinairie Ltd., I do know they did an amazing job looking after my dad and even supported my mum after he passed. I'm determined to give something back.

## Why Freshwater Independent Lifeboat?

The Freshwater Independent Lifeboat is a volunteer-run service that operates 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring the safety of everyone in the waters around Freshwater Bay. Unlike many lifeboat services, they are entirely self-funded, relying on the generosity of the public to maintain their life-saving operations. Every donation helps them equip their crew, maintain their boats, and continue their heroic efforts to save lives at sea.

## The Challenge

Paddling around the Isle of Wight is no small feat. The island's rugged coastline stretches over 70 miles and presents a variety of challenges, from strong tides to unpredictable weather. This grueling journey will test my endurance, strength, and determination. But I'm ready to face these challenges head-on, knowing that every stroke I take brings me closer to supporting a cause I deeply believe in.
