It is the residence of Palden Tsultrim (Pal-Tsul) the renowned scholar of both Bon and Buddhist tradition. He was a disciple of Khyung Tul Rinpoche. During his lifetime, he completed the many precious work of Khyungtrul rinpoche including his biography (Khyung Tul Rinpoche). He lived at this residence with his wife and two daughetrs and with his disciple and dharma brother Gazi Sonam Dakpa who was a great Dzogchen practitioner after they fled from Tibet in 1959. Many great bon masters including Yongzin Rinpoche visited this place to meet Pal-Tsul to discuss and talk on many important subjects of Bon teaching. This house is blessed by many Bon master with their precious memories. He completed many important works of Bon teaching at this residence including history of Bon dharma and history of Buddhism. In 1972 He died at this residence and cremated here.

After Pal-Tsul passed away, Gazi Sonam Dakpa offered all the belongings of him to eminent masters of Bon. In addition, he offered all the bon scriptures written in gold and silver to Yongdzin Rinpoche which were brought on yaks with them when they fled from Tibet. He practiced Dzogchen whole his life time and met many great bon masters and practitioners in his life time. He received many sacred transmission and empowerment from many Bon masters. There was a incident when he had to removed his tooth from tooth ache. Later it was discovered that sacred relic was naturally popping out from tooth. it was preserved by Menri Shedrub Khenpo and still many sacred relics were naturally emerging from it. He was regarded as a great Dzogchen practitioner by Yongzin Rinpoche. The 33rd enthronement holder, His Holiness Menri Trizin Rinpoche all the time used to say that Gazi Sonam Dakpa was one of his greatest supporters when Menri was in an initial stage and in the beginning phase of menri monastery construction when Rinpoche was facing financial shortage to complete the roof of Menri monastery. Gazi Sonam Dakpa was the one who offered his money to Rinpoche to complete the roof.

Many bon masters come to see his tooth with sacred relics. Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche also came and requested Menri Shedrub Khenpo to let him see it and he put it on his head after he saw it.

In 2005, he died. His Holiness 33rd enthronement holder of Menri monastery came to perform powa and told family members and monks who were near his body that he was in a state of thukdam and do not need to tie the body.

With Sangmo Yangri's mother he had two sons and one daughter. Sangmo is the youngest among his three children with her mother. After her father passed away her mother took care of this house. Sangmo's family is very happy to take care of this house for practitioners and through their service for others they pay tribute to the great scholar Palden Tsultrim and to his disciple Gazi Sonam Dakpa for their great contribution to preserve Bon teaching.
